29th November 2016 / Kidding around

Hannah has been undertaking Post Graduate studies at James Cook University. We were asked to create some nice natural images of hannah amongst some of the animals that were within the facility at the Townsville Campus. As it was near the end of the teaching cycle there was only a small herd of goats for us to use. As it turned out they were perfect. A great blend of gorgeous afternoon light, beautiful Hannah and the goats’ insatiable curiosity made the perfect combination, I’m not kidding. :-)

15th November 2016 / Glencore, Ernest Henry Mine

Another successful mining shoot for Glencore at their Cloncurry asset, Ernest Henry Mine. I’ve been photographing at EHM for over a decade and it’s been amazing to see the transformation from an open pit mine to an underground one. Thank you to Vicki and Richard for all your assistance and professionalism, it’s been a pleasure working with you and the rest of the team at Ernest Henry. Here’s to another successful decade!

2nd January 2016 / Magical Orpheus Wedding

Lucy and David decided that Orpheus Island was the ideal location for their wedding. I do agree. :-)
The day was perfect and Lucy and David were so completely in love. It was a privilege to witness their union in paradise.

9th June 2015 / Glencore - Townsville Port

Glencore have recently upgraded their loading facilities at the Townsville Port and I was asked to create some images of the new facility for upcoming publications. I always enjoy heading out to the Port or to any industrial operation for that matter. The scale of the operations are alway overwhelming and I love “getting my teeth into” shooting these giant subjects. Not to mention the views from the top of this giant infrastructure. Thank you to Agata, Avril and Bob as always for their kind assistance thoughout the shoot.

2nd June 2015 / Time Lapse Of Site Rehabilitation

When Caltex wanted their depot at the Townsville Port rehabilitated at the end of their lease they brought in demolition and rehabilitation experts Parsons Brinkhoffer and Liberty Industrial. The whole process only took about 8 weeks and we had a time lapse camera on site for the entire process in order to capture their work.

26th May 2015 / Ergon Energy renew RFDS sponsorship

I grew up in Western Queensland and did School Of The Air and Correspondence School for Primary schooling. We had a great respect for the RFDS and the excellent work they did to support the people of the outback. So, I jumped at the chance to photograph this event. Well that and my love of flying :-)

Ergon Energy Retail have been a principle sponsor of the RFDS for 15 years and has helped keep them in the air by raising millions of dollars.

25th November 2012 / Cloncurry Gala Ball

Cloncurry is a township situated within the Western Minerals Province of North West Queensland. In 1939 a Gala ball was celebrated in their newly built Town Hall. Years rolled by and the Dazzle Ball faded. Recently though, the Cloncurry Town Hall was fully refurbished incorporating a multi Million dollar development, thanks to the generosity of Xstrata, to become the Cloncurry Community Precinct.

To celebrate the opening, the Ball was revived and November 2012 saw over 300 people, from far and wide, descend on the close knit town to once again celebrate the Cloncurry Dazzle Ball.

It’s a privilege to be involved in an event of such historical importance as this. When the Cloncurry Shire Council asked us to travel out from Townsville to provide photography the answer was a resounding yes! It was a great atmosphere with lots of laughs, great food and excellent company.

May the Dazzle Ball go on for many years to come :-)

26th October 2012 / Myer Opening

Townsville was ready for Myer and we were there to photograph this great event. Jennifer Hawkins, Myer’s Ambassador, presented onstage in her inimitably graceful way. There were plenty of smiles and happy shoppers and a great atmosphere as the roller doors went up, on a new era in Townsville retail.
